While searching for dining options, I discovered a great restaurant located on Main Street U.S.A. inside the Magic Kingdom.
The Crystal Palace is a buffet-style restaurant with an early 1900's feel. The feeling you get while walking down Main Street U.S.A. and into the Crystal Palace is like nothing else I have ever experienced. I truly felt like I had stepped back into the early 1900's. The decor is similar to a soda fountain, with white iron chairs and pale yellow trimmings throughout the restaurant. The ambiance is calming and refreshing.
I would have to say the other than the food itself, the best feature of the Crystal Palace is the fact that it that you can dine with Winnie the Pooh and his friends. Upon being seated the hostess explained to us that if we stay seated each character, (Pooh, Eeyore, Tigger, and Piglet), will come to our table and visit. Each character also has a cast member available to take pictures of you dining party. The restaurant is set up in a circular fashion so each character takes one lap around.
Thus far, the Crystal Palace is my favorite place to eat in all of the Disney Parks. The food served is simply divine. My favorite dish was the Ancho Chili Rubbed Salmon. I have never tasted salmon that was so juicy and sweet. We told our server how much we enjoyed the salmon and he offered to get us the recipe - free of charge! This is truly Disney service at its best.
Another great feature about the Crystal Palace is the children's serving area. We were not traveling with children but found that it would be convenient for kids to serve themselves from an area that is shorter and provides choices like Macaroni and Cheese and other options that suites kid’s taste bud.
The only drawback to the Crystal Palace is the price, but then again, dining with characters is always a bit more expensive. However if you are traveling with kids, consider it a bargains by saving time waiting in line for character autographs inside the park. I will definitely make the Crystal Palace a regular stop on my vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort.

Restaurant Rating: 5/5
